€142.60
Equine Sarcoid Paste is a herbal ointment developed to support the horse’s own immune response. It is made from greater celandine (Chelidonium majus) extract, together with Estonian-produced essential oils, honey and zinc chloride, and is intended as a non-surgical option for sarcoids. Owners often look for this kind of product as a sarcoid cream for horses, or as an alternative to surgery. In practice it is a thick paste — not a light cosmetic cream. Always have the growth identified by a veterinarian before you start, and do not use it near the eyes or mucous membranes.

The ointment is applied to the sarcoid once daily until an inflammatory reaction develops and a crust forms. In most cases, the sarcoid resolves within 14–21 days of treatment.

Greater celandine extract is known for its cytotoxic and immunomodulatory effects and contains alkaloids in its latex (primarily sanguinarine). Zinc chloride promotes an inflammatory reaction on the surface of the sarcoid and, together with the greater celandine alkaloids, affects the sarcoid cells so that they become antigenic to the body. The ointment additionally contains essential oils of Estonian lavender, yarrow, hemp, wormwood, juniper, and goldenrod to support healing processes around the sarcoid and to repel insects.

For topical use in horses

  • For optimal results, apply the ointment to the sarcoid once daily for 14–21 days. Then allow a rest period of 7–10 days. The treatment course may be repeated if necessary.
  • Apply the ointment to the entire sarcoid and the surrounding area.
  • Note: Do not use the ointment if the sarcoid is located near the eye or mucous membranes.
  • If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. Wash hands after each application.
